Story

Ted and Pete were sturgeon fishing on the Fraser River.

Three hours in.

Steady. Patient.

Then the rod went off.

The fish breached —
and it was exactly what they had been hoping for.

Heavy.

Ancient.

Alive in a way only sturgeon are.

Almost on cue, another rod started screaming line.

Pure chaos.

No time for video.

Now they had two big fish on.

The river wasn’t quiet anymore.

They fought them with everything they had —
angles shifting, lines crossing, tension high.

Somehow, they managed to land both.

Two white sturgeon.
Side by side.

Even the guide was excited.

Both fish were photographed quickly and released back into the Fraser.

Big fish. Clean release.

Now it lives here in the archive.
